ELERIA: 'The Lunar Rivalry' Due This Month
January 9, 2008Jimcab Records has announced that the single from Australia's ELERIA, "Remains", is available now as a digital download from the Jimcab Recordsonline store.
According to a press release, ELERIA brings a unique blend of rock with influences ranging from FAITH NO MORE to AMORPHIS all cooked up in to a nice mixture of heavy guitars and melodic female vocals.
Formed in 2001 in Australia's capital, ELERIA quickly formed a name as being a well-oiled, hard rock band often underestimated by event organizers. After competing and making the final of a local battle of the bands competition, ELERIA entered the Tomb Studio in Queanbeyan NSW to record three tracks which has become the group's forthcoming EP, "The Lunar Rivalry". Unfortunately, shortly after the recording, the band was forced to take a hiatus, indefinitely delaying the release of the EP. Things have since settled down for ELERIA, which has signed an exclusive deal with indie label Jimcab Records, allowing "The Lunar Rivalry" to finally see the light of day.
ELERIA is now concentrating on writing new material for its debut full-length album.
"The Lunar Rivalry", which is due out mid-January 2008, was co-produced by ELERIA and George Vasilev, mixed by George Vasilev, mastered by Chris Begg, and was recorded during the devastating Canberra bushfires in 2003.
